Thankfully I was only going 12 miles per hour at the time but that was quite a scary feeling to know that ur seconds from being stranded far from home and in the middle lane of highway traffic.Īs a female, I feel completely unsafe driving this car anywhere else. I wasn't until I was 15 miles from my exit - the car finally shut off, while on the highway. This occurred several times throughout that trip. A pretty gradual yet dramatic stop for the engine. Unfortunately traffic wasn't moving fast so I had to go from 70 to 20. It's ok as long as I'm going 65 miles per hour. I'm 35 miles from my destination and quickly realized that the car wants to cut off once the car start decelerating to lower speeds. This instantly alarms me that something isn't right. Traffic goes from 65 miles an hour to 20.Īs I'm inching thru traffic I noticed that when I touched the brakes lightly it feels as if I'm punching the gas. Im driving to Atlanta and the same thing happens. Fast forward to one weekend later (today). He stated the car drove fine for him and it could possibly be the cam shaft sensor but he wasn't 100% sure. Everyone told me to check the gas cap but I took the car to the mechanic as soon as I got home.

I had no issues on the drive back home and the check engine light was no longer on. Needless to say, I used an uber for the rest of that trip. I started it back up and thankfully it started but the check engine light came on. I drove two hours to Savannah and pulled into the hotel parking lot and the car cut off before I could pull all the way end. After two failed trips, Im scared to even drive it. I purchased this car to use solely for long travels.
